10 Reasons Why Our Uxmal Cacao Retreat Will Help You Embrace Ancestral Knowledge and Find Peace
VISIT THE MAGICAL ROUTE PUUC, IMMERSE IN THE CULTURE OF A CACAO PLANTATION AND PRACTICE MINDFULNESS.
Pre-Hispanic Town of Uxmal
The Mayan town of Uxmal, in Yucatán, was founded c. A.D. 700 and had some 25,000 inhabitants. The layout of the buildings, which date from between 700 and 1000, reveals a knowledge of astronomy. The Pyramid of the Soothsayer, as the Spaniards called it, or The Magician, dominates the ceremonial centre, which has well-designed buildings decorated with a profusion of symbolic motifs and sculptures depicting Chaac, the god of rain. The ceremonial sites of Uxmal, Kabah, Labna and Sayil are considered the high points of Mayan art and architecture.
INSIDE YOUR DAILY ICE MOCHA OR HOT CHOCOLATE LIES A TRADITION RICH WITH CULTURE.
A cup of cacao shared with friends and good conversation can lift your spirits on both sad days and happy sunny ones.
Inside your hot chocolate or cacao protein shake lies a tradition rich with culture. A cup of ceremonial cacao shared with friends in ceremony guides you to find inner peace and connect with a higher consciousness. Cacao, in particular, impacts our brain's blood flow by widening the blood vessels, allowing more blood and oxygen to reach the brain. This boosts brain health, cognitive function, and attention.
A cup of traditional ancestral ceremonial cacao takes us on a journey of happiness. It nourishes our bodies and soul, providing physical health, invigoration, and spiritual and emotional benefits.
